The Order of the Un-Wavering Flame

In the cold tundra of the North, somewhere not too far from a small village is a black iron tower, stuck in the ground like a great needle.

At the tip is a candle of enormousness and enormity. Fueled by the fat of the people and the work of the Order of the Un-Wavering Flame. A cloak clad sect of monks, driven by the candle to collect recruits from the land, willing or not into their order.

Their skin is covered in welts and burns, their shoulders support countles candles, lit and unlit.

Every few months the great iron door opens and they take people, young mostly, into the great sorting chamber at the base of the tower.

There are whispers of unnatural shrieks at night from the fortress, beings of wax and flame brought forth through a portal in the great fire at the wick of the tower.

An entry to a land of wax, fire and pain.
This is what the order follow.
This is why they keep the candle lit by throwing un-worthy into it’s molten wax as fuel.

The Order of the Un-Wavering Flame is a single page systemless location originally intended for use with Mork Borg. The page is intended to be printed and folded into a simple booklet with the title acting as the front and the credits acting as the back. Included however is a multi-page pdf for ease of use with online GMing. This location can be applied to most fantasy and maybe even scifi ttrpgs.

Come to the tower for wax, pain and loot, stay for the food!
