Chorogaiden: Sunflower

CHOROGAIDEN: Sunflower (ひまわり) is the first large-scale expansion to Chorogaiden, adding several already pre-made investigations inspired by harvest horror. The nights are getting longer, the days are getting cold. The harvest has begun and things that hide during warmer times have begun to emerge into the half-winter light. The Eyes are afoot again.

Strange Sunfish are washing up on the shores of the town, stomachs full of worms and sunflower growths on their scales...

The art in Chorogaiden and its expansion Sunflower is made using the Gameboy Camera. Each piece of art is drawn and photobashed digitally and then a photo is taken of the screen using the Gameboy Camera. Then the save is uploaded to the computer using a flashcart. The save is opened in an emulator and the preview is screenshotted. Finally the colours of the piece are graded digitally/add a halftone to fix the flatness that the camera gives the art. This all gives the art a crust that shortcuts to this method would not produce.
