Would it be possible to get a printer-friendly / easier to read version? I would really like to teach my parents, but they were struggling with reading the fancy fonts and formatting. I am not able to copy the text from the PDF to just make my own.

Here is a great fanmade guide!

I don't use PayPal. Any chance you can allow credit card payments?

It's now been updated to accept Stripe as well!

Hi, great looking booklet! I have a handful of questions from just a read through…

I can’t find the queen of wands in the rules for soloterrare (3.30). Is it safe to say just use the king of wands stats and change everything to “queen” for its abilities?

Can you mix minor arcana rules between games? For example use attaccarat’s suit of cups rules in base fukuzatsu? Just from a read the OG suit of cups seems devastating to the person using it and it can whiff entirely! Maybe I just need to embrace the chaos.

Regarding blackfish 5.06 - when a player attacks the catch do their cards stay out “On Deck” for the next rotation, or does the player discard them when they attack? Can you repeatedly attack with the same hand? (Provided the turn player can keep it on the line)

When a player is holding “On The Line” I’m guessing they don’t get to add to their “On Deck” cards at all? (Meaning you eventually won’t be able to hold it anymore if the other players can’t defeat the catch). I wasn’t sure about this.

Thanks for any insight you can offer. Very excited to rip up some cards when I can get the chance.

Hey there, thank you for the kind words!

- Queen of wands in Soloterrare missing is an error, you're correct to use the king rules and flip everything to queen. She will be added in the next update.

- Fukuzatsu as a whole is a modular game, if you wish to mix and match rules that is entirely up to you, just make sure that's clear to other players. Though cups in the base game is meant to be both a gamble to remove tarot and also a way to change your own deck. The less cards in your deck, the more likely you are to draw what you've currently got in play again. Embrace the chaos!

- This is correct that the player who is holding the line cannot put anymore men on deck, The other players must race to defeat the sea monster before the men are killed or the line snaps. This is where tarot come in useful to getting more sailors out or having an edge.

I don't get the main phase, first 3 actions.

Edit.

Ok, I read cheat sheet and it is a bit clearer.

Can all players at the same time do this? Up to two discards and play?

Other question - is conbini a part of vanilla Fukuzatsu or an additional rule?

Clarification:

1.2 Each player discards, plays facedown, plays their tarot, then passes to the next player. This is done one at a time starting with the first player. This gives every player after the first player an advantage as they can see the tarot the player before them plays. This also means the first player gets to activate a tarot first, giving them an advantage in the activation phase.

Conbini is an optional rule that can work with almost every version of Fukuzatsu (though it's designed for the vanilla version.) It is a very fun rule that I recommend though.

Ok, so one player at a time in specific order can do all those actions - up to two discards and play, put tarot.

In my opinion it is better wording the way you described it to me now.

I was confused by 'decides to play or discard' as it would mean you do only one of those things. If you can do both of them, then why do I need to choose if I will have to play anyway?

Thank you for clarification! I haven't play it yet but I can't wait to! :-)

I will include conbini.

Hi NeonRot, me again 😅

Do I discard my second hand after a round or do I keep it for the next round, so I have more to choose from each round?

1.5 you 'draw cards into their primary Hand until they have at least 10 cards in their Primary Hand & 5 in their secondary.' so you keep any tarot in your secondary hand you haven't used and fill it up so you have 5 again. Generally this means draw 2 as you'll have played 2 but sometimes more will leave your hand. Also In the occurrence you have more than 5 in your hand you do not draw any. Fukuzatsu+ is a combination of multiple books: Fukuzatsu, Attaccarat, Soloterrare, and Coulette, plus a chunk of new content. All of those are a sort of neon acid tabletop spin on Balatro.

The PDF is 152 pages, with a chaotic but very readable layout. Every page feels extremely visually distinct, and they flow together nicely.

Fukuzatsu is, at is core, a slightly complex card game with a lot of randomizing factors that should be satisfying to anyone looking for a mechanical challenge.

It's got combat, occultism, deep lore, and several solidly fleshed out gameplay variants. There's a lot of content for the asking price.

I've covered Fukuzatsu core in detail on its page, and reviewed some of the supplements on their pages, so I'm not going to dive into super detail here, but if the idea of survival horror Balatro entices you, there's something for you here.

Is it just me or the QR code towards the end of the manual no longer works?

other than that, amazing game and beautiful art style

Damn, I'll fix that! For now, here's a link https://awforsaken.github.io/fukuzatsu/

Is this a new game, or all the previously released Fukuzatsu material bound together in a single document?

I'm not neonrot but I have the game, I can see that there are a couple of fan made features added to fukuzatsu such as joe the joker and the bounty board. blackfish and coulette are new games that are included in this version. not sure if attacarat or soleterrare is changed, but they are included. To answer your question, I guess both.

To touch on what the other commenter said, Fukuzatsu+ is a combination of the base game (with a few key rule changes and clarifications) with several new large expansions. Think of it like a Fukuzatsu 2E.
